10 months experience with Bank of America

I opened a personal account in Bank of America on Nov,2008.I still remember they have referred program,which means a new customer referred by an old customer, both of them would receive 25 dollars credit.---10 months later, I still don't receive anything from them.

2 weeks later, I applied for a credit card from Bank of America, the lady who helped me to open the account said,"Congratulations, you will receive credit card by mail in 2-4 weeks.And there is no annual fee and 0%." I was so happy and waiting for the credit card, and planning how to use this credit card. UNFORTUNATELY, they charge me 59.99 annual fee after I actived my C.C. I was confused, and went back to bank and talked to bank manager. She just gave me the phone number and asked me to talk to credit card department on phone. The credit card department gave me an answer "Because of your credit score, and debts, payment history...We have to charge you annual fee." I don't know if I need to thank them for giving me sympathy...However, I felt I was cheat by Bank of America. I applied for Credit Card, but deny by them would be a choice for me also, they just force me to accept that credit card, and charge me 59.99 annual fee.

So, I took that credit card, and control my anger not to jet out this time. However, they really make me pissed off this time.

I was using my credit card to pay electricity bill which is 285 dollars. I have 300 credit available. And my checking account was 0 dollars there. So I use Bank of America's online banking. They have Bill Pay function. I clicked it, and choose Southern California Edition, and put down the number I want to pay. They have two accounts for me to pay the bill. checking $0, credit card $300+. Without a question, everybody will pick $300+ account to pay the bill. So I made payment on internet. 3 Days later, I deposited 300 dollars money to my checking account, thought to pay credit card when the transaction is done. When I checked my account, Bank of America charged my checking account, not my credit card account. I called customer service, credit card department...I talked to 4 different customer representatives, they all said "UNFORTUNATELY, you used your checking account to pay the bill.You made mistake."

That really upset me, I am sure I only can use credit card to make payment at that time, the banking system just have so many mistakes. Our customers have to
Sacrifice for this greedy and no-credit bank?

So, my conclusion for Bank of America is "Bank of America, you sucks!!!"

What can we do to boycott Bank of America?

Hi all.

Maybe you are busy of ignoring the overdraft fee charge, feel wasting time to discuss with your bank of America people. But Do you really want to keep taking money out of your pocket? Can you imagine Bank of America people sitting in the chair and looking at the monitors say:"Oh yeah~another overdraft fee!"

I am sure you don't like that, then how can be boycott bank of America?
1. take out money from bank of america account, transfer to a local bank that knows how to manage your money.
2. tell your friends don't use bank of america.
3. refer these information to your friends.
4. share youtube videos from this website to your friends.
5. tell your friends How lousy of overdraft system
6. share your own experience with your friends.
